For a few years, Ivy (tortie) and Scarlett (torbie) lived out most of their days within the shadows of a porch and shared the tight area with two different strays. When the home-owner handed away, a member of the family found the clowder beneath the home.

She provided a loving house to one among them, and Nashville Cat Rescue took the opposite three below their wing. “Scarlett and Ivy took solace from one another. I stepped as much as foster them,” Elaine Sylvester shared with Love Meow.

Ivy and Scarlett had been seven and 6 years previous and certain had by no means been inside a home. “I think they’re mom and daughter.”

“Scarlett was the primary to reply to me. Sooner or later, I heard purring coming from the tent mattress. It was Scarlett. I lured her to me with treats and toys.”

Ivy, the extra cautious one, watched each interplay between Elaine and Scarlett, slowly reducing her guard. “Finally, she emerged from the tent mattress to pattern a few of my treats.”

They progressed to stepping onto Elaine’s lap and accepting pets whereas feasting on the treats. As they grew to become accustomed to being petted, they sought out light contact and not cowered of their cave.

It took 7.5 months for Ivy to find her purr and practically 11 months to seek out the braveness to look out the window. “She’s come to this point. Every purr is a present.”

“Scarlett is inquisitive and prances over to take a look at what you might be doing as she affectionately rubs alongside your legs. She is all the time up for chin scratches. Whenever you scratch proper below her ear, she purrs nonstop and makes biscuits.

“Ivy is an impartial little girl who likes to perch on her cat tree and nature look ahead to many of the day. Whenever you pet her, you will surprise if she is the softest cat ever.”
